Short-term Fellowships

Fondazione AIRC per la ricerca sul cancro ETS (AIRC) is offering Short-term Fellowships, which may be awarded for a duration of one to three months. The fellowships are meant to support young scientists or physician scientists wishing to learn a new technique and/or acquire new skills. Fellowships may be used for short term visits to a cancer-focused laboratory or hospital (“Hosting Institution”) located outside of Italy or, when in Italy, in a different region from where the “Institution of origin” (current affiliation) is located.

AIRC Short-term Fellowships cover mobility costs, including travel, accommodation, and health insurance, if needed, for applicants spending time abroad.

In 2026, the Call foresees three different deadlines depending on the proposed date of departure:

• departures between May and August 2026: release January 12, deadline February 6;
• departures between September and December 2026: release April 29, deadline May 29;
• departures between January and April 2027: release September 1, deadline September 30.
